Hereby some information about my net art project for the biennaledeparis.org Title of work of art: Doctor Hugo || Museums of the Mind || URL: http://www.doctorhugo.org Description (Work of art): In our minds we have private museums, secret places for our most vivid memories, imagination and dreams. Who are you ? Doctor Hugo is a painter, new media researcher and a theorist of new media. He lives and works in Antwerp. In 1995, he obtained a PhD in art sciences (cum laude) at the Universidad de La Laguna, Santa Cruz de Tenerife with a doctoral thesis on « Art & Computers: an exploratory investigation on the digital transformation of art. » Online since 1995, Doctor Hugo became one of the pioneers in Net.art. He participated in 1988 at the ‘First International Symposium on Electronic Art’ (FISEA) in Utrecht. He took part in various Net.art projects, including the online exhibitions ALT-X-site ‘Being in Cyberspace’ (1997), New York and ‘Revelation’ ISEA 2000, Paris.
