Medium: photography, text and shoe insoles. The exploration of facets of urban life currently prompt my art practice. My work investigates everyday existence, by focusing on the individual and relationships to our built and natural environment. I am interested in creating work that explores the choices and possibilities within physical and mental journeys, psychological ideals and aspirations. The medium I work in is dependant on the idea. I work both within a gal-lery context and in the public domain, the work is usually site specific. I also work collaboratively with groups and individuals. For this project entitled ‘Here now’ my proposal is to produce an edition of shoe insoles, printed with photographic imagery and text. The insoles will be given to participants of the exhibition to wear as they go about their day. The imagery of landscapes and text narrating journeys and possibilities, offers a private experience of pause and reflection.feelings of longing and expectation experienced in and around our daily lives. biography born and lives in Dublin, Ireland.
